I think that one of the concerns Mike, is that the groups may get too big and take forever (like the past 4 years for us).
Exactly, this is why I want to have an Official Sign-Up sheet with a set group limit, first-come-first-sign-up basis.Thursday Morning - WHAT TIME?Thursday Afternoon - WHAT TIME?Friday Morning - WHAT TIME?
I think this is a great idea, but is most beneficial for people that have not been on the Rubicon before. It would be nice to have a couple of skilled "conservative" group leaders to each take a few rigs in with them, say about 5. Those that have trail experience could tag along unofficially, but only have the leader responsible for a few rigs.
We're planning on going in Friday morning, probably sometime between 7-9am as far as I know.
how about a thursday afternoon run. get to buck at night.
I'm in for Thursday. Will it be dark by the time the afternoon group finishes?
Best time to wheel!
are we gonna go to the springs or should we stop at buck.ether way night weelin is the sht
Ok guys,I think this hasn't developed as I'd like it to, so we'll wait for next year's event for an "Official" sign-up sheet. For now, please feel free to form your own groups and encourage new wheelers to the Rubicon trail to join up and wheel in together Regards,BigMike
Sorry it didn't work out like you'd hoped Mike Let's plan something ahead of time next year. Maybe we can post an official sign up sheet like, when you post the MCR9 registration thread.
Exactly, that will be the idea. It will be the 10th anniversary of the event (gasp!) so it will be a good time to really make it an official run sign-up ordeal.Mike
10th anniversary! That's awsome! We gotta do *something* to make it extra special.... hmmm....
ha whoops, I meant to write "almost" the 10th event
