1st gen speed sensor

its been talked about a little and that about as much as i can find..  i will post a pic of the back of my instrument cluster so mabey someone can point this out to me if there is indeed one there.. this is from my 82 pickup..

I would say it is one or both of the two screws located directly above the speedo.

Canada Trucks didnt have the electric speed sensor  .. not untill 84 with the EFI introduction .. and yes should be the 2 screws as above .

its not so much a "sensor" as it is a mechanical device that measures resistance and thereby indicates your speed.

its driven by the cable that connects to your speedometer drive on the rear of the tcase, if the cable is broken speedo no workie
