I've had it for sale for about a year now.  I bought it from Jack in '99, basically rebuilt it from the ground up, but I don't enjoy it...  It's mint - super clean... just needs a new home.

Someone needs to buy it and own a piece of history!!!!

LOL!  The truth is that it's a sweet rig - very well built by Jack originally, and hopefully as well by me.  I wheeled 4Runners for 4 years prior to buying the x-cab and just like the wheelbase and the functionality of a 4Runner better.  I dreamed about a white x-cab since the mid 80's when Rough Country had one on Mickey Thompson Tires in their ads in the rags.  But I'm not a fan of the wheelbase.

If I kept it, I'd have to tear it down again for rebuilt number... 4(?).  SWB frame, 3.4, etc.  I've put over $20K into this thing already, and the thought of putting another $4K into it just doesn't appeal.  I'd rather it go to someone who will use it as is....

UNBREAKABLE

That thing is nice!!!

Thank you.  Jack did a phenominal job on this thing originally.  I can only hope I was able to come close on the quality that he put into it.

Note: Spec change to the truck.

I've pulled the SSR/Weld wheel combo off of the truck and replaced them with an MTR/Alcoa combo.  I'm keeping the Weld wheels for sentimental reasons (they've been on nearly every Toy I've owned).

I will be replacing the SR5 seats with DLX seats.  I want to use the SR5 seats for another project I'm contemplating.

The inclometer has been removed and the entire dash replaced with an '88 model dash w/ no inclometer.  The dash has a crack, but a dash pad is included.

The only thing I'd take as a partial would be a gen2 4Runner SR5 in white or gray, 3.0 5-speed, all options in MINT condtion.  Or..  a Gen3 xcab in white or gray, 3.0 5-speed, all options, mint as well.

Thanks for the interest.

I used DAS to ship a 4Runner from Reno to MN last fall.  Cost me about $825 with full insurance.  Worked out well, and it's definitely what I'd recommend... (for me, it was cheaper than flying/driving back)

I would have to see it if I were spending that much money

Yup - don't blame ya for that.  There are a ton of "little" things that you just can't capture in a photograph, no matter how many pictures a person takes.

I just wish it were near me because I just sold my landcruiser and have the money for it. Bump for ya
