hey all, good to be here.  met a guy from the Sonora Mud Sweat & Gears 4x4 club (at their Kids on the Rocks event), and he told me about the forum.  I have known about Marlin Crawler for many years, but I am just recently raising an FJ40 project from the dead (many years of child support curtailed any building of rigs, but in 3 more paychecks, it is DONE  :clap2: ), and I have been doing lots of research on how to go about it.  I had checked out Pirate, and found it more frustrating than anything.  This forum, and Ih8mud, have been extremely helpful, and so far, I have been able to find an answer to everything I have thought to look for. A Big Thanks to the Marlin staff, and everyone who has posted tech, or ideas, and/or answered someones questions, it's like taking a class in Toyota building!

Anyhow, my daily driver is a '95 Tacoma Xtra cab, SR5.  It is completely stock, but has been a great truck, and has seen light to moderate off-road, mostly for camping, and/or hauling my quad to remote places.

my FJ40 project is a 1974, and as I mentioned, has been garaged for some time, just waiting for the day I had a budget to continue.  As of now, it is completely torn apart, and I am working on getting the body parts painted and ready.   I will be doing plenty more reading in the tech sections, so once again thanks to all who have gone before, those columns are priceless.

I am in Vacaville, CA (1/2 way between Sacramento and San Francisco, for those not familiar with NorCal).
