Okay, this is a new culture to me and producing some confusion but I'm trying to become and "intitiated one" just like all of you :welcome:

Hi, welcome to Marlin.

For the safety of our members, new members must establish themselves before being able to post in the classifieds. Hoping you can understand... hang out a bit, get to know the board, and you'll be established in no time.

In the meantime, tell us a bit about yourself/your rig :gap:

Not certain I'm following protocol but here's my motivation: I live in the mountains and have had my Toyota Landcruiser (for 10 years, it's a 1995) and I now own three vehicles! Although I love my cruiser and it's the best running and most dependable of all my vehicles, it's not appropriate for my line of work. The
Cruiser has been our family ski car for many years and has never let us down!!! It's had many adventures and I would love for it's future owner to appreciate it as much as we have. It deserves a new life!! Any suggestions??

Sounds like a nice rig :yesnod: Once you're here for a little while, my suggestion would be to post it in the "rigs for sale" section

Just curious, what other cars do you have that you'd choose to get rid of the Cruiser over them?

I have a VW Westfalia camper van and a BMW X5 (also selling this). I'm keeping the van because I'm a mountain girl and it's great for trailhead camping, road trips etc...The X5 has been disappointing and super expensive to maintain. Any suggestions for a 4wd, fuel efficient vehicle that's good in the snow??? :driving:

hey :welcome: from Arkansas,

i would look into getting an older 4runner, cheap to maintain and can easily get 18mpg

or  if your looking for like 25 mpg  maybe a Rav4

Try posting it on Reno & Sacramento craigslists. You can sell your Cruiser her, but you have to be an established member first. Give the classifieds a shot after a few more posts ;)

Don't let us scare you off. Too many instances happen where people join just to post in the classifieds, then established members get screwed over. Now, I'm not saying you're going to screw anyone over, but it's a precautionary step that has been deemed appropriate for the protections of buyers and sellers.

You should be able to post your rig in a few more posts ;)

How do you know when you've passed the initiation period and can post to CLASSIFIEDS forum? Do you get notified via E-Mail or through the Forum itself?

Like I said, post around a bit. No notification will issue, but I'm sure you can understand why we encourage someone to get to know the members of the forum prior to trying to buy/sell stuff.
