Halladay

really? i was just on trail gear or now i should say trail queer's website and they say in bold letters says it wont. here it is straight from the web site

Twin stick shifters will not work with the following:

W56 C or D model transmissions with a single transfer case

Stock chain driven V6 transfer case

Rotated dual case adapters

Single transfer case applications with combined tranny and t-case shifter base

fordh8r

Maybe that's for TG's shifters.  :dunno:  I have Marlin's twin stick for use in the rear case with Marlin's rotated adapter.

oh ok i just looked there. i assumed that trail queer and sky and frontrage dont carry or make them that they were not out there. i see marlin does now. thats why he is a step ahead!  to bad he is out of stock thought! :sheerterror:

Halladay

so why wpuld trail gear say that on there web site?all it looks like you have to do is cut out your floor board a little more and have your shifters sitting sideways

fordh8r

Probably because with the shifters pointed to the side like that (depending on how big a person is) the shifter is real close to your leg as you sit in the driver's seat. When the drivetrain torques over it does move considerably. But this could also depend on the motor mounts and tranny mounts you're using.  :yesnod:

Obviously the more solid the mount the less it will move.  the less it moves the less it will likely hit your leg.  :cheese:

Halladay

makes scence. i got solid t case mounts so i think ill be legit. thanks guys

and sky's- http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=61

you'll have to ask them if they work on clocked t-cases.

The only difference in having twin sticks that work on a clocked t-case is that the sticks are bent at the bottom so when they're mounted to the rotated case they stick straight up and not to the side towards the driver's seat.

Other than that any twin stick will fit and function unless something is physically in the way of the sticks after they are installed or possibly keeping them from being installed. I.E. floor opening, seat, center console or something similar which can vary by the manufacturer's stick design and length.

Otherwise, no other real differences that I can think of.  :-\
