Identify this pump and I owe you a beer!!!!!!!!
« on: Jun 25, 2009, 03:26:20 PM »
So I pulled this out of my 82, originally who knows what it is out of? But all the local parts stores dont have anything close when they look it up. Hopefully someone has seen this

Yes its a powersteering pump. I knew that, but every parts store i went to had a different one that wouldnt mount in my bracket. Finally my buddies shop tracked it down and of course it costs 160 instead of 70 like the other ones. hahaha

One more thing to track down before this weekends trip. Plus I already have this pump set up for hydro-assist.

change the bracket :boozer:

i actually did this.... i had an 84 pump, but they were different than the 85+, after not being able tofind an 84 with power steering that still had a bracket, i used a bracket and pump from a turbo 22r truck..... the brackets were close, but not close enough to work, so i jsut have a turbo pump now ;)

My original pump on my 1980 would whine like hell in cold weather, like it was out of fluid; my buddy had one lying around from a 2nd gen truck..it fit..the  hoses had to be manually bent by hand...3 years, and a recent hi steer conversion, no problem! :twocents:
