3rz luck at insurance auctions?

So instead of supercharging my 22re I am just going to swap in a 3rz into my 1988 Pikcup.

So I need the normal assortment of parts, engine, harnesses, evop, bell housing. So I started to call around to some salvage yards in the Tacoma Wa area and nothing! Checked cregs list and nothing. Where is the best place to look? I’de go 2k for everything I need. But I can’t even find it! Any ideas?

Has anyone had any luck getting it from an isurance auction? Anyone with direct exsperence in Washington State? Trying todo it, but its hard to get the info and find the strucks

Yep, try to find a wreck at one of the auctions in your area. It may take a while but you will get everything you need at the best price, and have some stuff you might be able to sell to recoup some $$$. :turtle:

no reason to go all the way to cali he can just stop here in oregon and i can get him 1 for under a grand in about 20 minutes.... they are everywhere in yards for cheap around here

They are kinda rare here in AZ too. So i bought one from a wrecked taco in Cali and had it shipped but if i was to do it over again i would order one from a manual with all the parts i needed from Rancho Toyota trucks in Cali. They have tons of them and are very familiar with the engine swaps so know what you need. And all the swaps i have seen using their engines have turned out great and engines are shipped in top notch shape. :twocents:
