Another try at documenting Bazzi´s buildup
« on: Jun 15, 2009, 05:12:31 AM »
So I have started to assemble some of the parts I have gathered for the last years....

The plan is. Chevy 350 with 700r4 and duals. The parts I have ready, is hopefully everything for the engine-auto and the duals...

I installed a set of 4.70 23 spline gears and started on my dual case, and a new cryogenicly treated output shaft. (or what the hell it´s called)

sexy

but I have 2 problems so far.... when I tighten the bolts the t-case seams to lock up,  doesn´t matter what I do if I loosen the boolts around the front output ewerything turns nice but bindes when I retighten... I am getting the impression I bent the cover when I was messing with it before. or something.  I am planing to exchange them when I start on my dual case.... and the second problem... I seam to have lost my 23 spline input gear for the dual, but marlins team seams to have given me 2 sets of outputs by mistake, so anyone know how to turn that into an input :hammer:  I am trying to find my order but some of this stuff is probably fom 2006 so that might be a problem... ;)

Any guy who takes his woman wheeling enjoys her. A woman who is owned is left at home to cook, clean, and keep beer cold. So if this offends you you should stop looking and go have some tacos.    :rofl2: And a beer. If your old enough.   :beerchug:

I finished the cases well almost, I need to order a 23 spline input, and a top shifter base...

I had problem with the rear case, when I finished, I noticed the case was real stiff or hard to turn when in 4wd... after complete teardown and rebuild, I figured out the problem was in the front output. and it was o.k. till I tighten the 4 bolts on front... I messed with it for a while, and I wish I had a spare case to test how hard it should be to turn, but I am thinking I will let it go.... it´s wierd cause it turns real easy in 2wd but in 4wd it´s a total different thing... is this usual?
the last pic is of the 700r4 that´s going in front of this...

the 350 chevy... I had pretty much no idea of how healthy it was, so I pressure tested it and it was real close to 150 psi on all so I am happy

I also took some Toy motor mounts and fixed them for the chevy, I am planning on having the engine sit in them till it goes in. It has been standing in a motor stand for 2-3 years...
My first plan with the 4.70 was to put it behind a 1kzte fyrst in a cruiser I had, then I was planing to find a engine like that for the HiRunner  but they cost an arm and a leg, and that chevy dropped in my arms for a real fair price so 2+2=5 and we have a ToyLet HiRunner ;)
