shock hoop modifications
« on: Jun 03, 2009, 10:24:12 PM »
i know i know, i shoulda done this different but. i need some ideas
i ended up with a old school downey double shock hoop that bolts on, i do not like the way the shocks would mount with this set up and i intended to run one shock in the first place.

has anyone ever used this hoop?  is it any good?

i think i can make it work, i was gonna cut off the z shaped piece that mounts to the old shock tower and have a new one bent up so i can mount a single shock in the middle. i was going to still do it as a bolt on so in 2 years when i buy a new truck i can just take it off and do it right.

for now i just want to run the 5100's i picked up and this is the cheapest way i can do it.   i think the design is lame the way it is now. i think i can make it better.
