What's up from fontana! Sittin here at my shitty hotel and posting on my blackberry. Just wanted to say what's up and that I passed my cdl written test so I have my permit now!!  Gonna go have a smoke now so talk to everyone later

Hell yeah man I've already seen a lot of fontucky fabbed 2wd trucks this area is way differt than what I'm used to I'm here in carhartts and boots and all I see is people in baggy clothes haha but I'm super stoked for tomarrow I get to go out to the yard and start messing with trucks! Can't wait

where you workin? and what does a CDL permit allow you to do (or not do)?

Ill be working for central refigeration and a class a cdl allows me to basicly drive anything that doesn't need a special endorsement like trucks with haz materials or buses

when i took my test i went ahead and got all the endorsements,  doubles/triples, hazmat, tanker, but not the bus :yikes:

:gap: right on dude!  I'm dealing with all the CDL stuff myself, gotta get the class A for the fire apparatus.  Been having a blast doing it

Getting a CDL is pretty easy if you got a good rig to deal with.  I got a class B only because the tractor we had was a piece of :pokinit:, and wouldn't pass inspection.  And the owner wouldn't get it fixed to pass.

So how did you come across this opportunity? Are you getting paid training? I've been kinda thinking about a driving job again.

Same here I have been wanting to get back in the seat for a while now.  If you don't mind me asking are you getting paid hourly, by load, or by mileage? 

I've been in an office for a year and a half and its starting to get to me.

A friend told me about it and so I went on their website and signed up. Basicly you need around 500 bucks for food licence and road money and they put you in a hotel and supply a way to get to class and then you go to work for them for a year and they dock around 50 bucks a week from your check to pay back the rest of your 3k tuition
