Forward shift crawl box with 1989 W series 5 speed, dual stock cases, 2nd gen SR5 Sport seats, 1st gen cab, one-piece vinyl floor.  Boots are various stock boots, the rear from a 2wd, cheesy wal-mart cup holder with the cd pockets removed for the transfer case shifter.

Same setup in my old 84 with Herculiner roll on.

Here's my 86 with Marlin twin stick in the rear case.

How did you get the CB in the center console?  did you cut the bracing?  I want to do the same mod, I actually have the same CB any info and pics would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

ordering a MC knob for the middle shifter can someone tell me if the threads inside the MC knobs are metal or plastic?  :help:

BigMike

Awesome!! Thanks for the order Sir! Yes, like the original Toyota knobs, they have metal threads.

Question: Do your Fail-Gear knobs have plastic threads?!?

Thanks
Mike

the trail-fail ones are metal :snare:

the one i have on my custom shiter (middle) has plastic threads...dont know if its a stock toyota knob but ill have too retap the threads of the marlin knob too screw on right

BigMike

Sounds good buddy  Our Turtle knobs from about 2003-2008 had an American pitch that we re-tapped for the metric handle, but since then we've had them made exclusively for the Toyota JIS thread so that issue is history :sly:

There is some really nice set ups in here. I beyond pleased with how mine turned out and works flawlessly. And I was able to keep everything clean. I like clean and simple.

Here's my 1980 sport SR5.  Changing from an L43 to a W-56B HD (thanks Marlin, still working great and just about out of warranty time!) meant lots of cutting and welding  :screwy:  :dunno: to get here:
