OMG they spent over a 1/4 mil. to do a photo op. of AF-1 flying low over NYC. What a bunch of idiots, not only are they just throwing our money away for nothing but they scared the hell out of New York! If this is how they are spreading the wealth then they should have been dropping money out the damn plane. What a joke this administration is turning into. Have they forgotten what happened in NY? I guess so since everything we were trying to accomplish is being made a mockery, yeah real smart flying a large jet with a military escort unannounced at 1000 ft through the city.

Yup appearantly the smartest group of "leaders" we've ever had have never heard of photo shop...


One thing to think about though is what else was news that happened that day that wasn't front page news because everyone covered the plane story....

im sorry but how the F can u not miss airforce one   it sticks out like a sore thumb  if it was that low U can clearly read /see its airforce one  + it had a escort. people are stupid.  I do agree it was a waste of  my $$$

sorry, at 1000 ft, looking into the sky, markings are oftentimes difficult to discern.  Not only that, but how many of your average people can look at a military plane, and say "Oh, thats a US F16."   All they saw were two planes, flying way too low.

Their blatant waste of OUR money is infuriating. Problem is that we will be paying off this guy's experiment for generations to come. I've basically given up on the idea of retiring, as there is no way I'll ever be able to save enough to cover the insane inflation that is going to occur once this recession starts to lift.  Just the interest alone on the "recovery" (read: bailout) money is more than some states GNP. It will take up such a large percentage of our tax dollars that the other important things will have to be cut in order to service the debt.

Glad we got a new, wonderful picture for such a good price. We really needed that. At least a couple people had some job security for a day or two.
