here is the new color it will be, I was hoping it would be more silver but it came out as a glossy primer look.  :dunno:
It is the brightside paint, im rolling it on  :gap:

How did you find out about marine paint, this is a very good idea. That shade of grey will look good on the Kruiser and shouldn't be too hard to touch up. Might want to roll it when it's cool out to give the paint a chance to flow out before it dries. Hood turned out pretty cool, are you gonna paint the hard top too?

I found out about the paint a few years ago, I painted my 1st gen with it and it turned out great.


Still dont have a hard top for it, found a guy up north that has one but i dont have time to make the trip.

finally got the harness in, real nice quality with all new connectors.

final fitment of the crossmember and an engine shot, just trying to figure out how i want to run the harness and where to mount the comp.

Boy Aaron your getting close! Just went back through your thread, you've got alot of bling components in this thing! :thumbs: As for the computer, it seems like alot of guys are mounting them in the glovebox to protect them from dust and water. I wish I would have thought of that when I was wiring my Cruiser up. After looking at your thread I noticed that the front shocks have compressed quite a bit with nearly full weight on them. Are they good or are you going to have to do something with the shock towers?

Thanks. I think i am going to run the comp. in or directly under the glove box. the shocks are just on temporary, i need to get taller mounts, probably going to get the marlin low rise hoops.

Dont have much to update just a few pics I forgot about.
got the rear calipers mounted, rear underside tank, motor mounts, metal tech tube fenders and the beefy rear bumper and tire mount i jacked from my daughters YJ build just need to rework the mounts so it will fit on the cruiser.

been a few months but now im back home and can get to work. I did order some bling doors while i was gone though. hope to get back to working on it this weekend.

Neighbor is going to let me borrow his bender, so I should be able start knocking out the cage. It will be my first one so i am definitly going to take my time. It will be 2" .120 wall. Also my radiator is done just need to pick it up.

got the steering shaft kit ordered up from 4x4labs, real beafy set up with spicer joints. Also putting in an order for all the fuel connections i need.

time to start a checklist:

1. mount body (Done)
2. measure and send off drivelines to get redone
3. finish roll cage (starting that tomorrow)
4. finish front fenders
5. figure out brake line routing and order parts
6. finish wiring, mount comp.
7. exhaust
8. mount gas tanks and lines
9. paint and line x
10. modify door hinges

not selling anymore, time to suck it up and finish. Got a confirmed day of this Sunday to build the cage so expect pics up soon.

broke out the new body mount kit, seems fairly straight forward, shouldnt take long to put on.

got the main hoops bent today, I forgot to pick up some metal for the foot plating so now I'll have to wait.

Question: I have a 21gal confer tank to hang out back, do any of you know where to find a nice solid skid and mounting hardware?

Got my radiator in, also got the metal to finish the cage. Should have most of it built by this weekend.

Well the weekend is a no go! I have to head up to Oregon for work again. Got some pictures up though. got some nice parts from BTF. Got some fuel pieces from Jegs and also got my radiator back.
