I'm new to this forum, but am a lurker at this one and most others. Just not a lot to say I guess.

I've been wheeling since 1987 when my dad gave me his 82 4x4 long bed. I still have it (well have it again after a tour through the family). I've been driving Toyotas since the same time with a brief diversion to a 72 Blazer and a 77 CJ7.

After many years in the 82, and after the jeep, I bought an 86 4Runner and drove it for 10 years. Sold it to my best friend and bought a 97 4Runner. I still have it. It's my daily ride. The 82 is about to undergo some resto/ mods. It's got 4.56 gears and a Downey 3" lift that has been on for 15 years and remained mostly unused other than down the road. The truck has only put on maybe 10K miles in the last 15 years.

Headed it's way is some paint and bumpers and some interior work. It's still on the original engine with about 140K on it. My brother in law put a Weber on it, so I've got to tinker with it and get it running smoother.

I'm a planner turning machinist and doing a little fab work.
