So to make a long story short I broken an tcase output on the trail and got some of my favorite carhart pants soooaked in 90w...I've washed em in warm for 3 times already with tide, how am I gonna get this stuff out?  Pants are still all oily with it and you can smell 90w.  Big blotchy patches of the stuff all over.  don't tell me to use gas :shake:

Have you tried blotting off the patches between washes?  Given any thought to dumping some simple green in there?  And try hot, warm won't work as well.

:werd: soak them in simple green or superclean and then hose them down followed by simple green in the washer.

I totally forgot about the simple green. Thanks!  I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I have some clothes that have been thru the wash probably a hundred times and the stain is still there like day 1

If you have already dried them in a dryer it will be hard to get the stains out.    That being said buy a pourable bottle of "Shout"  Stain remover.   I get it by the gallon at Sams for about $7.00.   Put about a cup of it in a 5 gallon bucket and fill the rest with hot water(only enough water to cover the pants).  Soak your pants in the bucket for about 24 hours.  Then just wash them normally.   Do not machine dry them,  hang them over something and let them air dry.  The heat from machine drying locks in stains.  This method always works for me.  I even do this with my Mechanix gloves and it makes them look new again.

Definitely use simple green, purple power, dawn dish soap, or any good degreaser.  I've used wd-40 to get oil/grease stains out too.

Just wear them when working on your truck.  That way you don't have to worry about them getting ruined.  I guess you've never had a pair of tin pants?!  My wife won't even let me wear them in the house.  I've got to change into & out them out in the shop.  You don't wash tin pants.

I've had pants like that.  These were my faves so I tried to not do anything too dirty in em.  Didn't really plan on swimming in 90w

Soak them in the snake that bit them, I garuntee the stains will go away. The smell will increase but will fade over time. :gap: Yes I did this once when I got some oil stains on a pair of pants I liked, couldn't get the stains out for nuthin. As a last ditch effort I soaked them in oil, hosed them out then washed them. Worked pretty good, oh just one more thing take them to the coin laundry and wash them about three times.
