MCR Videography
« on: Apr 03, 2009, 12:56:02 PM »
We're still trying to get together an MCR video.  We had a few people video at MCR7 but we just didn't receive enough footage to put together a full DVD.

This year, maybe if we plan ahead of time, we can get some footage.  I'm trying to get a show of hands who has and is willing to bring and use a video camera (or digi with video), then share a copy of the footage so that we can put together an MCR8 DVD.  We have the DVD editing project lined up, we just need the footage.

I'm going to be bringing my camera and Matts - both have video and we plan on getting some footage.  However, nobody wants to watch an MCR8 video with the same 5 rigs in it over and over.  This is why I'm asking for everyone's help getting video of everyone to make the video more interesting.

I'm hoping to have a helmet cam by then, if I do, I'll bring it along.

Good idea   If I get one, I'll make a couple of mounts for it, so I can get some different angles.

The one I posted up uses the SD cards, so its pretty much self contained.  The card just slides into the back under a cover IIRC

I should have sent you a copy of the DVD I recorded of last year.  Only problem is we had issues and never made it to the Springs.

No sweat, though.  I'll go ahead and bring the camera this year and get you some good footage.

Any particular angles/spots/themes/narration you'd like?

Thanks! We're not picky - just some decent footage of various rigs. The problem with last year's vid we made was that it had the same 10 rigs in it over and over - kinda boring.

We'll cya there :hyper:

If you want, I can still send you my DVD from last year.  I'll go ahead and try to do a good job for you this year.  That would be better since I'll be more focused and relaxed(and hopefully with an extra battery).

Look forward to meeting a lot of you guys this year, if you haven't met me already.

Anyone running the con on June 6th/7th, June 20th, July 23, 24, 25, and in August - I'll be there.  I may be staffing the kiosk as part of my volunteer work with FOTR and RTF, or maybe just handing our food for free with the kids.  Make sure when you go stop and say hello to the person at the kiosk.

That'd be great if you could send me last year's footage. Maybe we can get a dvd together from last year and give it out this year. Don't know how much footage you have if you can email it or if you want me to send you my address and you can mail it. Let me know what works best for you. Thank you!!!

I'll be on the Con most likely second weekend in July, other than that, no promises till the roundup.

Alright ya'll.. we're only 2 months and some change away. I need a show of hands who is planning for sure on bringing a video camera and utilizing it.

Also if I can get last year's coverage mailed, emailed, whatever it takes to me, that'd be great (respond here, or PM me). I'd like to hand out last years videos at the roundup this year

I'll be there with one. I'm not very good at camera work but you can have a copy of the footage.

I may have footage of the last couple of years. If not Bigmike made a copy of it. I'll see if he still has it.
