now I have the following cards and no idea how long (minutes) they last

128mb
512mb
2.0gb
2.0gb
2.0gb
1.0gb

how much time can i expect from each individual card ??? can anyone help me figure that out. I need to know how often to change the card :disturbed:
bring the two gigs and the one gig, use anything smaller for your still camera, i have some1+ gig SD cards, we should get plaenty of footage. we can try it out on the 4th run, BUY LOTSA BATTERIES

Don't bother with the 128 - You can get about 30 high res pics on it.. if that. The 256 can be backup after/if you fill the 2/1 gigs.

CONGRATS on the cam!

I'm carrying a tripod this time so no shakes.  Will get some awesome angles, too.  Got a few tactics planned for a good shoot.  Will be in touch with you when I'm done.

PS:  Let's shoot this video as a PG rated one, fellas.  No cussing so we can share it with the family.  ;)

AWSOME!!! Thanks!

I agree - I'd like to be able to share it with the family for sure!

When all is said and done, we'll be probably starting a music thread as well to get music recommendations for the vids

Rage against the Machine will be in my intro.  Minus the cussing part.  ;)
Then some Slayer fits nicley for a rock crawl or two.
And I can't help myself but to put on some oldies, too.

ffC Got the cards for the video 2 nite we are set.  After we set up camp at the springs, we will probably hike back to sluice and get some shots. Might even go as far as the box.

We have two digital cameras that have almost lousy film capabilities - and 2x4GB memory cards. So we're going to get what we can around the springs. If ya'll can get some vid more towards the beginning of the trail it'd be great. We're heading in early and doing most of our wheelin at nighttime, so we won't get much filming with our group.

Well, we got about 20 different vids, but only a total of probably 8 rigs. Anyone else get any good video??

If you didn't include TallC and my group, we had a videographer the whole way in and out.

CD's work best for better quality - photobucket reduces the quality of the pictures, so that wouldn't work. I'll get back to you on this - I want to see how much vid we can come up with for sure!

I gotta go thru mine, but your welcome to all I've got. Your dad also has a bunch on his camera, so hit him up as well. He was switching off between his and my camera. Tell him to get me a copy of it as well, 'cause I want to see what else he got
