New Pirate 4x4 Toyota Bible/ FAQ
« on: Apr 02, 2009, 04:17:27 PM »
I spent the last few days going through the old FAQ and fixing every link that was dead. I also added information and new topics. Please look through it and let me know if there is anything- missing, wrong, something that should be added, etc...

I hope this fixed FAQ can help everyone with their projects and help more people enjoy the sport of wheeling.

Thanks
Ryan

I have merged a duplicate thread to this thread and removed the duplicate thread.

You know, with the software I installed that is powering our new website, I can enabled a "Wiki" with a couple of mouse clicks.

A wiki is a collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone with access to contribute or modify content.

I have ALWAYS wanted to start a Marlin Crawler Wiki, or a WikiCrawler that is all about Rock Crawling.

It would eventually cover all the areas of the Pirate FAQ, but it would be structured, organized, graphical, basically much better and far easier to contribute and maintain information.

What do you guys think? If there was such a WikiMarlin, would you contribute your knowledge?

Mike your a pretty fart smeller  that is a great idea.     I think the hardest part is finding the info  not that it's not out there.  I personnel never use pirate do to it's darkness  and never knew they had that kind of area ( couldn't find it )  till the other day.
I think a easy to navigate, easy to find, and :snapshot:   makes the difference.

.. wait did i just repeat what U said in unclish .........  :dunno:

only thing i dont like about wiki's is that usually any retard can edit and post misinformation, and thats where the FAQ kind of  pulls through better because its been actually sifted through.

Any way to get your hands on the PDF version of the FAQ 1.0?  All the pictures that are not showing up on some of the links are in that PDF.  I know it would take a crap-ton of work to host them somewhere (pirate server would be nice so they aren't lost or removed, similar to what has happened in the past).  Thanks for taking on that huge project  :beerchug:

Great job COToy91.  I had pretty much given up hope on that FAQ.  As for BigMikes idea on the Wiki, I think it is a great idea but you would need some way to week out bad tech or people like me that think they know what they are talking about but don't really have a clue.
All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.

The search program on this forum leaves much to be desired, plus the same bs gets asked so many times every week it would take forever to sift through

If i paid for it yes, but a lot of links have changed and the holes i am still trying to fill. The funny thing is i fix it and for some reason more noob bs questions are popping up on there

I think whoever is selling them should just donate one to you for the cause of getting the FAQ complete!  Hell, I might buy the PDF.
