I did that on a trailer I had with a 2 inch drop, the thing wound drag over pebbles it was so low. Once finished it was then 2 inches taller than a standard trailer. Sure glad I was loading a 4x4 on it since it was so tall. There was no difference in any feel in handling at all, but it was being towed by a 30' motorhome and I never felt anything back there in the first place.

you can put heavy duty "rollers" on the rear of the trailer, but i would just flip the axles

I ordered my trailer SOA and it tows fine, I never have to worry about dragging going in or out of parking lots and when Boone Rd. was almost all whoops to the lakebed.

I've done a couple. Did a toyhauler as well. works just fine.

Flipped my travel trailer axles and have towed several thousand miles with no problems.

only draw back is if your axle has a bend in the center it will be facing down.  I have been debating this myself.

welding new perch's on top of the axle takes care of that
