Um, you have a short somewhere.

A little more info on the vehicle may help, for all we know it's in your Yugo with  five 2000 watt amps running through it.

but he is right   giving a veg info and  no  pacifies can't help us or you.

yr model always help   is it a rust bucket or in good shape :dunno:

I would start with checking under the hood  battery, grounds  then start taking dash panels off. drivers kick panel, pull the glove box ,radio assembly  dash  cluster.

Won't be under the hood, without knowing what it is or even if it has an aftermarket radio I will assume it does. It's the radio connection!

Bad grond on the voltmeater and cig lighter too
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

Rocksurfer

cig lighter grounding out on an oversized radio, too much power being drawn through the radio, bad firewall ground, spliced into a low voltage source, etc, etc. Start with a process of elimination start disconnecting one source at a time until it stops blowing the fuse and viola you've found it.

I did have a similar issue with my 86 Toyota pickup, (notice I gave some info on my vehicle here) and it turned out that my radio was shorting everything out since not only did I have the radio in there I had my CB under it in the dash. The radio would hit the lighter and blow the fuse. I covered the radio with a piece of rubber to insulate it from the lighter.

good conclusion  but you got check  it out . you got a shop   customer brings in a car  " my muffler bearings are bad"    your still gonna check over every thing right ? not just replace the muff bearing.
