How do you post pictures other that posting them as attachments? I see some people post pictures that don't have all the details and the paperclip on the bottom of the picture. Not a big deal, it just looks better.
If you still have control you aren't going fast enough

If you have them on a server somewhere on the internet you can link them to the post (img]http://put url to picture here[/img). You will need to replace the first and last () with [] in order to make it work. I used () so you could see the format you need to use. This will link the pictures to the post from somewhere else on the net.

Nope. Just "one of those folks" that doesn't like installing new software when I already have software that does the same thing. But if you do, more power to you, I won't belittle you for doing it different than I do... cause I'm one of THOSE folks... ;)

With windows power toys plugin you can resize with a right click and you don't have to open any programs to do it. This is just a small plugin for windows. Try it I think you will agree, it saves a lot of time.

yeah but you can't set the quality of the compression, you can only make a picture bigger or smaller.
i.e.: keeping a picture at 1024x780 but reducing the size of it from 300kb to 100kb
sometime it's ok to have a picture with a lower quality so it doesn't get cramped in a 100x100 picutre.

Are we whining a little here? If that is a problem then don't use it, but if you want to do a quick resize for a post here it's the tits. Besides it's not resizing the origanl, it's making a smaller copy. Pluss you can resize a bunch at the same time with only a couple mouse clicks.

yeah I'm not saying it's not good, it depends of the situation
like resize a 640x480 pic with a 300dpi resolution that will be close to a megabyte

What program are you using to resize the data size without changing the actual size?

there are as many different ways to do things as there are situations that need different things done.
Personally, anything larger then 640x480 on a forum like this is just too big. I hate having to scroll back and forth to see the whole picture.
But there is a time and a place for everything and for ease of global resizing, not to mention resizing on the fly ~IE: you go to insert a picture into your post but realize it's too large, no need to go to another program to fix it up, merely right click, resize, and WAHLAH, as they say in the deep south, you got'r done, yer posted and on yer merry way!~ I have to agree with Mr Willy that Microsnot Resizing utility is the TITS!! And I am a regular user of Corel Photopaint 12, Photoshop, Irfanview and quite a few other programs of that type.

That's What I have been trying to sayMr.Willy some people just don't like change, they would rather do things the long way cuz they already know how.(ie.my Dad,My Mom)

Willy Mammoth

Not only that, but Windows power toys will only work on Windows based computers

you can resize pictures in paintbrush. thats what i normally do. its really easy and you dont have to download anything to do it. paintbrush, "Image" - "Sketch/Skew" - then resize it equally horizontally and vertically.

Whenever you click on REPLY to reply to a post, just below the body of your post on the left side there's an icon that says ADDITIONAL OPTIONS.  Click on that and the options list opens up, click on the BROWSE icon, which will either open up your computer or your picture files.  Just scan through your cache of pictures till you find the one you want to attach, click on ok(?), then click attach and you're done.  Just make sure it's small enough to post, or you'll get the error message.
