I'm looking for something new.....

What would you do to my truck if it was yours? (besides scrap it for the recycling money)
Please don't hold back, if you don't like something and have an idea on how you would change it, tell me.

Please make sure whatever you suggest you have or have done.

Onboard welder? 85 front axle?
I love the 22RE but maybe an engine swap?

Not full hydro, assist.  :shake:
Haven't had any problems steering, not worth the money IMO.
Quote from: slabcs on January 15, 2009, 10:43:09 AM
I'd put a bed and doors on it.
:shake: They wouldn't last long, they would look like Hyena's truck after the first run.

Power really isn't a problem at 1mph

85 stronger. Or you could make a hybrid axle.  Dana ends. Better steering.

because of the little extra gusset? That is not where the axle bends though, it bends where the knuckle balls join the tube. Maybe a gusset added there would be good.

If I did that it would be a Spider 9 with 70* knuckles 40 spline (when I become rich), the toyota axle seems to be strong enough for me, the birfields may be a good thing to change though.

bigarms23

swap in a taco motor, d70 front and rear, 39s beadlocks, link the rear and some master craft seats

...So?

Full bodied is cool, even with dents.  You asked, told us not to hold back, I answered.

Also, you could get some 30-splines and never worry about birfs again.

Seriously considering that, it would be UM-06's though.

Um...my steering arm bent before my studs did, I'm not really worried about them. They get torqued before and after each run (at the springs when doing the con)

boggerunner

ohh  and rear disc brakes, im currently doing that mod to my truck too, front 79-85 rotors and calipers with some custom made caliper brackets.

boggerunner

no the 7/16 hub upgrade is for the lockout hub.  do u have long hub gears?

99% wheeling but I do take it to the grocery store (that's funny as hell). for wheeling trips it rides the trailer.

5.29's?
Maybe, but they are not really needed. I would go 4.7's before that.

snowshoebrue

wheel it more than once a year  :dunno:
