Trying to set up my dual t-cases in my 85' regular cab and just wondering which crossmember is the best. From what I've seen I like the 4xinnovations. Budbuilts are the cheapest, any comments on them?  All comments much appreciated!

Ok, so I ended up getting the Sky's Offroad cross member... Now what? Nothing seems to line up. I seems like I am missing something in between the cases and the mounting holes because the case holes are at an angle. Go easy on me it's my first time!
Here is what I am working with-

I am running the 4xinnovations cross member and a word of advise, it in no way is plug and play. I ma having to mod my e-brake lever due to interference, my cat had to get removed just to install the cross member. Yes it looks nice, and its different and the mounting points would be very hard to damage (not under frame) but it takes some extra steps to install. Other then that I'm happy with it so far.

Definitely would get a Sky crossmemeber. Like stated you can add spacers to get it more of a flatbelly.

I personally wouldnt get a FROR. I dont know if they changed up the design or beefed it up any but ive broken mine in two separate spots.

Here is what I am working with-

You need a couple of these.

Toyota Heavy Duty Transfer Case Mount
Toyota makes different mounts for 4cyl and V6 applications. When you upgrade your V6 to a Gear Drive T/Case, you will need a Gear Drive T/Case Crossmember Mount. These Heavy Duty Crossmember Mounts are Genuine Toyota, and fit all 1979-95 Gear Drive Transfercases and 1982-95 4Cyl Crossmembers. Factory new Toyota OEM part.
These HD Mounts only fit gear drive t-cases.

Or.... If you have a clocked adapter you COULD just run one of these bad boys. http://4xinnovations.com/pages/drive/casemount.htm

Clownman on here has a regular adapter (no rotation) with one of those and also a stocker. I doubt it will be moving anytime soon. That 4xinnovations mount is beef.

I have duals with 4.7 in the rear case and one of the 4xinnovations mounts. Bombproof and cheaper than a factory mount!

I just used the stock mount I had until I can get some $ for the 4xinnovations mount. It looks pretty stout.

If you have a clocked adapter why would you that style x-member?

Because front range style crossmembers suck ass. Not only do i know many people that have broke theirs, I have also broke mine in two separate spots. Using that crossmember with just a single 4xinnovations mount would be more then plenty legit and tough enough and you also will have a skidplate to protect it, it mounts to the stock location and its a lot easier to mount.

But it defeats the purpose of the clocked adapter. All of the x-member is still hanging down low.

What does FROR say as far as the x-member breaking. I know a number of people that are running them with out a problem.
