Well, I had to come home early from my wheeling trip last night and woke up at 0400 to find out I had to evacuate from the fires here in SoCal.Grabbed my dogs, Got my parents out of their place and a few things. So now I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting to find out what's going on.

Best of luck to you & your family -- as well as all the other folks down there.   :crossed:

We've had our fair share of fires up north also, only had to evacuate once and though several homes were lost here that time, ours was spared.
My goal in life is to be as a good a person as my dog already thinks I am.

Thanks man. I didn t even know there were fires down here until I got home last night. I wasn't even planning on being home for another week. I guess things happen for a reason sometimes.

Dang Ron that sucks, I used to hate that. Almost every year at least once we had to leave everything when I was living in Canyon Country. Hope everything stays safe, if you created a defensible space around your home you have the best chance of saving it, not only do you have that extra safety area but the fire dept. will try to save homes that stand a chance compared to those that have no chance at all since the brush runs right up to the house.

Wow Ron.. that's crazy, I'm sorry to hear.  I"ll keep your family in my prayers in hopes that your homes are spared!

Thanks everyone, looks like the winds have died down a bit and the fire crews are doing a great job controlling the fire.

Well, I just took a drive up to the neighborhood and everything looks good. No smoke, the news is still saying no one is allowed back but all the road blocks and cops are gone except on some of the major streets that go to the top of the hill. Thanks again everyone for the good thoughts.

My buddy lives in Oceanside and said he can't even open the doors or windows because of all the ash that gets in.

Shamb

yea that does suck, thankfully everything is okay. we had to evacuate because of fire ealier this year.. it was not fun.

Yeah, back at home. Ash all over the place and in the garage.
