If GM buys Chrysler don't count on them to even continue making Dodge trucks.  Why would they when they have GM and Chevy already?   They've already closed down the Dodge truck plant here in St. Louis because of poor sales.  The only cars that would continue would be the ones making money.  Jeep brands wouyld be spun off and the rest may be scrapped.

AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

It's like changing seats on the Titanic if you ask me. I work at a Saturn dealership in service for the time bein( 3 more weeks). I'm goin back to the Toyota dealer after that to work. Any and all car or truck sales are down, their commiting corporate suicide. I worked at the Toyota dealer for 8 years and still don't know why I ever left.

I wouldn't be so sure of that!  It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they continued making dodge pickups just the same.  I'm sure they'd at least invest some time into trying to make a profit off them.  Plus, it seems that in the car industry it is desired to have as many models under your belt as possible.

I agree, the makings of GMC truck were already in place when Chevrolet and several other car companies joined to form GM. GMC was the premier truck maker in the company and they started selling Chevy trucks. If anything, I would quit selling those ugly-ass Chevy trucks and just sell Dodge and GMC. If this comes to fruition...Ford better form a partnership with someone like Caterpillar for it's engines.

It's been done already.  We (company I work for) used to have an old F800 line truck with a Cat 3208.

I know, I know -- you were talking about light trucks...   :qtip:

I think that root may be growing far too deep for them to too easily pull it out...

So what you are trying to say is your Dodge will soon be a Chevy so you'll have to hate your own truck since you think all Chevy's are junk?

I'm pretty certain you can get a C7 in the F650...not exactly a light truck, but it's a start!

Methinks thou art biased.

As silly as it sounds I could see having a GMC, but not a Cheby...but, only if Ford goes out of bidness.

I may be off a little, and some people swear it's that way to this day, but I believe the days of gmc having a heavier duty truck line went the way of the dodo in the early 70s  :dunno:

I know, GMC used to be the more utilitarian of the two...but the new Chevy's are just too freaking ugly...and they're IFS.
