For every inch of added length to a shackle you will gain about half an inch of lift.  remember that.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Fireimp141

ya and i got like a 4 inch deficite in my rear thanx to literally flat leaf springs, so 3 inch shackles should do it?

how about a add-a-leaf ? at napa?
A good day working, that's just sick :reg:

Fireimp141

i dont feel like doing that, temporary solution thats just money wasted, anyways my front fender to tire clearence is about 8.5" and my rear is about 4.5-5" so if i get 2" blocks and 3" shackles i should be riding about even or less, and then also im cranking my torsions so thats gonna be like another 1.5 in the front, so should i go with 4 inch shackles, 3 inch blocks or what, stay at 3" shackles with 2" blocks?

wow that is overkill. 2" blocks, 2" shackles. thats more than enough. your rig look identical to mine when i had the little 29"s on there

Fireimp141

ok but with 2 inch block and 2 inch shackle, will i be able to fit 33X12.5-15 under there? i know i wont be able to stuff much but thats fine for now

o yeah they will fit. i saw a 4runner with tbars crancked, nothing in the rear with 33x12.50. he drove it everyday like that. u may want to consider a extended brake line back there. that may be to much lift for the stockers. not positive though

Fireimp141

haha swamper is a funny guy, even if i did rearch the leafs, i would still get shackles ;) but i might get em rearched, how much that cost? if its cost of blocks then might as well! o and none of u answered my question! what leafs would fit a rear? i heard wagoneer leaf springs would fit stock shackle placement, but i dunno if thats right or not... what types and lengths of springs fit rear 86 toyota 4runner stock leafs

As you saw earlier Im not as well as informed in the leaf section myself but Im sure someone has an answer....oh and I know you would still get shakels even though you re-arch your leafs you just wont look like a tard with 6" long shakels and flat leafs

I don't think waggies will fit in the rear without cutting the old hanger and re-welding a new hanger further forward. (the front hanger for the rear springs).  because the waggies are 56" long and the stock toys are like 47" or something like that.
in the projects nooga, anything goes

Fireimp141

Hahaha nice way to put it, crazy kid! i would never get that long of shackles but it would be funny if i did ;) max id get is like 3 prolly and yah, ill have to get new leafs here soon, i just want my tires for now heh, tired of the stock 28's that come on mine with no tread or traction rawr, dammit

dont listen to swamp, hes a mall crawler :hammer:. j/k. but im gonna ahve to disagree with and say no rearching. just add the blocks and shackles. old leaves are fun!

To The Floor

Well I'll put it this way.  I have a 4" lift on my truck right now and I am going to put waggies on it front and rear to replace the 4" lift I already have.  Get the lift out of the blocks, shackles and drop hanger.  So yes I would say it's worth the effort.  Cuz stock 56" waggies will give you a 2" lift.
in the projects nooga, anything goes

Fireimp141

haha 86 is sticking to his word! o well, for jobless me its gonna have to be blocks for right now, later on new springs of course, but for now, shackles and blocks, shackles and blocks
