My truck has the big plastic steering wheel thats almost too thin to hold. I´m sick and tired of it and I want something smaller in diameter but thicker and padded, leather wouldn´t hurt either.

So my question is, do any Corolla, Celica, Supra or other "sportier" Toyota steering wheels fit my truck?

Never mind gentlemen, I just found out that they all fit. Now I just need to find a GTi or GT4 wheel and I´m sitting pretty.

jsut a heads up but if you are planning on another wheel, it is required by federal law to have an airbag as well...... it's illegal to remove it......

now people do it all the time and no, they probably aren't going to get caught, but i know i would rather have a piece of safety device versus not having one in the event of an accident....

it is up to you, and i am sure everyone has an opinion on it jsut like a certain body part.... so......

Rocksurfer is right, besides there is very little of anything in a ´90 truck.

And I´m not overly worried about the FBI coming after me for something regarding my Hilux, I´m sort of out of their area. ;)

Yeah but they may just send the CIA to clean up the mess they created. :phone:

Lets see them try to catch me when I get my new steering wheel in! Then I can really make use of my K&N, 2.5" exhaust, increased diesel flow and bald 33" summer tires. I´ll be doing 60 mph before they can flip their calendar to june. :gap:

...but they have those black helicopters.

Actually I'd like to know if other Toyota steering wheels will work on trucks too. You've peaked my interest.

I talked to a buddy of mine who works for Toyota in Iceland. He has had 2 GTi Corollas and 1 Camry as well and he said that all steering wheels of similar years should fit.

I did a little Ebay scrounging and found a wheel and hub. The applications for the hub are as follows:

84-87 Toyota Corolla
84-95 Toyota MR2
86-93 Toyota Celica
87-90 Toyota Camry
88-91 Toyota Corolla GTS

89-97 Toyota Corolla
90-96 Toyota 4Runner
91-96 Toyota Land Cruiser
90-98 Toyota Paseo
92-97 Toyota Tercel
87-96 Toyota Truck

So there we have a list of wheels that seem like good candidates for a swap.

You can put in a Celica GT or Corolla S wheel as long as it is from a newer year. I believe the year split in what steering wheels fit is 88 or so.
