A good locksmith can do it too they'd prolly just try to get you to buy a new ignition cylinder
And do yourself a favor and do NOT let them talk you into that. Take it from me, the ones they carry are junk compared to the toyota ones. I had to buy one because mine was broken and there were none for early first gens at pick n pull, and I regret it to this day.
I was just condensing it in the quote to simplify it
If you don't need it real fast, I'd search the forums for someone parting out a truck, and buy their ignition cylinder and key from them.
and im goint to guess you still had all three keys to it on the same key ring too didnt you
so my mom solved the mystery of the keys that grew legs and ran away. apparently i put them in the cupboard where we keep out keys after school friday when i got home and i didnt even realize it. so basically i cleaned my room and searched the house high and low, cleaned out my runner and picked up part of my garage for nothing. long story short... they were in the cupboard where i should have looked to begin with since i always put those keys back in there since its not my DD anymore to all and a to BD for the knowledge i now have when it comes to dealing with a locksmith
