It seems that a vagrant decided to cook a desert tortoise for dinner last week in Joshua Tree, I understand it was a prized 30 yr. old big boy.

so what you are saying is someone cook and  ate a turtle  ..................... ok whats the problem :dunno:    why should i be forced 2 eat processed crap food from some crappy company   and not hunt / kill my dinner like it has been done for thousands of years.   only the last what 40yrs ?  we have been forced in 2 chemical induced body cell killing food from the gov ?

fing hippies  and nazi law bastards.

Now we got over population and a destroyed environment because of the food industry.  It's them we need 2 ban  so only the strong will survive and the over population will goaway.   and then the earth can heal

Desert tortoises are endangered and a protected species, from what I understand this was a big turtle and actually had a name. Seems it wasn't afraid of humans from constant contact. My point here is that it was their own fault it got eaten since a normal wild animal would have avoided human contact.
