i was out at a little place called Knoxville in northern cali and was running some uphill rutts when i  slidd off into them on a bitt of a side hill and layed the cab over on the drivers side with three wheels still on the ground.. i had no choice but to back it down the hill and pray that i didnt lose it and have only sidewalls on the ground :help: i managed to put so much preasure on the truck that i snapped the frame right behind the front left spring hanger...  :smack: :smack: :smack:
it was good fun and defanate carnage.....

ill post pics as soon as i get them back from the photo dept at wal-mart.....

that's exactly what i was suggesting...
if you would be willing to start a new carnage section i think it could be a good addition to the forum...
i mean if you think about it and i know you're young enough to relate.. in every skate video, dirt bike video, skiing, snow boarding video ect... one of the most attention grabbing parts are the crash sections...
so why should we be any difforent in are sport...
just like indy car fans love seeing indy cars slam into walls.. i love seeing 4X4's park on there lids..

:thud:Well it was 2 yrs ago that my bro and I put his CJ 2A back together  And decided to "test it out" So we promptly drove it over the top of an 85 Celica Gt (not knowing we had cracked that little dana housing) then went out and jumped that old pile at 50mph

This Is where it gets good..............

Travis And I Landed it fine but, he then regretted re-using his old motor mounts, and only using to wimpy bolts on the bell housing.....

Kinda funny when we left that little willys flat head 4 behind  as we rolled on.......It just fell out.....

The phrase we all know aint good ----- Hey guys watch this....

right on matt...

this isnt about wheelin but its carnage....

may 2001 i killed my 98 integra GSR..
i had a three inch lower on it so it took corners really nice...

there is a road called pleasants valley road in vacaville california and in any car that coners its a fun raod to drive fast on...
neering the end just before lake salano there is a 90% left turn thats marked at 15mph..
i was racing a 78 nova ss and was loosing him in the turns.. so i hitt the last turn at about 55-60 mph and hammered down half way through..
in doing so i forgot that i had just put the stock 13 inch wheels back on and through the bead on the front right tire, while at the same time being clocked by a cop at 83 mph...
i slid off into the drain culvert and front flipped the car three times...
i landed on my lid and slid 37 feet..
it smashed the the front of the car back two and 1/2  feet, the top of the cab down to make the window opening to be around a three inch opening and ripped the trunk lid off..
not even a cut or bruse... i was fine... ok i was lucky...

moral of the story? roll cage's are a good thing!!!

Here is my "carnage / introduction to wheelin" story. When i got my 92 pickup I was very new to wheelin. I had owned sport cars only in the past and I knew two things about sports cars...keep it fast..keep it clean. So running my new pickup in the woods, scratching the paint, and caking mud everywhere was a big deal. I soon became aware that paint is only there to protect the metal from rusting. Well one day I went wheelin with a friend who had a scout. We were having fun till this big mud pit starting calling my name and taunting my trucks ability to cross it. Well...I would soon show it that my truck was capable. What I didn't know was toyota placed the air intake behind the front headlight. I quickly learned this fact as I launched my truck into the bottomless pit of mud. As soon as I hit the water the mud cleared the hood. i quickly noticed lights flashing on the dash alerting me something was amiss. The "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT" came on...I thought "its stalled...start it quick to keep momentum". I turned the key with a little throttle while the mud encased my truck..shzzz.. BANG.  :sob: I quietly thought to myself..this is bad. Not realizing that even with plugs pulled, oil drained, the engine would sieze with no motion in two cylinders. What i had just done is put a hole the size of my fist in the side of my V6 block. Not to mention twisting two rods in half. Well to top it off, I got pulled home by the scout and never lived it down.  :smack: I went home, sold the motorcycle and bought an engine....

:sob: :sob:

I'll have to get the  photos of my buddies 86 minitruck after it rolled over 1000 feet down a Sierra mountain.

:smack: :smack:

I wasn't there when it happened but went the next day to help get it back up,  needless to say we coudn't.  I got  together 1500 feet of cable and tried to winch it out using multiple pulleys but it wasn't budging.  :sob: :sob:

We drained the bad chemicals  and hauled them out.  The truck landed so hard that it made it's own crater so we just threw some dirt over it and said last rites :sob:  :sob:

I know it isn't textbook, and we tried like hell to get it out, but the trail itself is fairly dangerous and we almost lost another truck in the same way.  we figured it would be too reckless to keep running back and forth, besides there's an old landcruiser further down the gulley , a testament to this trails badness.

I have sworn to secrecy the location of this carnage, but someday I'll spill the beans, ask MARLIN he knows about it , that crazy!!!Crawler wants to get parts off it. :smack: :smack:b:

Right after i get my gears and lockers in my truck i decide to do some wheelign at Prairie City in California.  It was muddy and i was having trouble going up this hill thingy.  My friend hooked my tow strap up on my bumper and his tow hook.  The stress of one truck not moving and the other trying to move broke the tow hook from its welds.  The tow hook decided to head for my truck.  It hit off the hood and off the windshield twice.  Got glass on me but the windshield was still in one peice, mostly.  A little duck tape and i still had a full day of 4-wheeling left.  $230 later i had a new windshiled.  Sux though.  Don't weld towhooks, bolt them.  my friend payed for half of it.

Well not to point fingers but it sounds like the weld just wasn't good enough.  But on to the topic of Prarie City I was out there about April of last year in my runner. I had just put in my new Marlin Crawler the night before and wanted to test it out. So we headed out there. Me and a couple of other yota friends, needless to say we were the main attracion.  So  a guy who brought his 6 year old son out to ride came over and started talking to us and asked if he could tag along cause he wanted to watch , we said sure.  So we decide to go play in the mud a little and climb a few hills.  Well he had a few to many drinks and got caught up in the moment.  He wanted to mash through the mud pit and climb the hill at the other end too, in his 2003 stock, extended cab 4x4 ranger.  Well there was no way in hell he was going to make it.  I tried to tell him but he had to much to drink and just asked if I would pull him out. And of course I said hell ya go for it then. So he got stuck and I pulled him out,  but he wanted to try it again and he did and again I pulled him out.  But this time he gota agood run at it and mad it almost all the way across to the incline. this time when I pulled him out, he was so stuck in the mud that his front bumper stayed there pulled that sucker right off.  Then the poor drunk guy decided to go after his bumper and fell flat on his back in the mud.  It was funny as hell.
