What is a Toyota Trailblazer?

I just ran across a 1983 Toyota... On the side of the vehicle it says "Trailblazer". when I look up the VIN it comes up as a 1983 Toyota  Pickup SR5  Short Bed. I've never seen anything like it. It's almost like an SUV.It has a back seat in it, kinda like a 4runner. The camper shell on this "pickup" isn't removable. Does anyone know what this thing is or what it's worth?

They were an suv made from the truck chassis and were made in limited numbers, and yes, they're worth a fair amount.  A quick little search would net many threads on them

i bought it im trying 2 get pics for u guys my girlfriend reserched it and says there were only 400 made. but there are only 41 regesterd with the dmv right now. it only has 140000 miles on it. how can i get a value on it?

its basically worth what thae standard truck is worth that the vin number straces too....


the trailblazer was not made by toyota, but converted by an aftermarket company, much like conversion vans are today....

to a collector, it will be worth a lot more than the standard truck though....


trailblazers were sweet..... i almost wonder if toyota's answer to the aftermarket was making the 4runner

yes its mine.can i Reilly get $5000 for it? if so its for sell boy that would be a great investment. IL try to get more pics. do you no any collectors? it is Reilly clean no big dents. interior is in pretty good shape for being 25 years old

to the right person, yes you can get quite a bit for it.....


to a regular person, then whatever an 83 toyota pickup is worth... hell, if it runs and drives, its easily worth $1500

Nice find.  They get some decent money sometimes.  Ebay is your friend if your just in it for the cash.  Post up some better pictures including the inside and engine and we can let you know more.

I didn't want them and my neighbor just picked up an 81 22r From his brother with only 138000 miles he said he might have put it in 4 wheel drive 6 times in 26 years

well i got it fired up today, it ran for about 7 secondes. i used about a can of carb cleaner before it started. but once i change the old gas for some new gas I think it will stay running. He said its been sitting for about 5 years. So i dont think the gas is any good.any one whant 2 TRADE for a drite bike?

I keep hearing about the toyota trailblazer conversions through different web sites, but don't know much about them.  I had a buddy tell me that he had a guy with a toyota truck that I could use for parts.  Long story short I went and looked at it in a barn and he wants $300.00 for it. 
It is a 1981 and appears to have a fiberglass campershell with a roll bar directly behind the driver and passenger seat.  Are there any specific markings or tags that would make this conversion obvious??
