I think that first one is the only stinger I've ever actually seen that I liked. I am not a big fan of the stinger bumper, but that first one is cool.

My biggest problem with people building bumpers is the lack of thought that goes into the design.  I can count the times Ive seen a bumper that would actually help in climbing an obstacle.  When I built the bumper on the 90 I brought the legs of the stinger all the way down to the front of the springs so I have a ramp of sorts not a big anchor to get caught on.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Isn't the whole purpose of a stinger to help prevent a forward endover while descending obstacles? :dunno:
1991 Daihatsu Rocky, 3RZ-fe, Marlin super heavey duty clutch and pressure plate, Marlin W56-C-HD, duals, Marlin twinstick, three link front with Fox AirShox, 35's, Toy axles, 5.29:1, ARB F&R etc.

:disturbed: The stinger on mine is more functional than looks, stopped two forward flops and stopped countless tree branches and bolders from wanting to do body damage (for what little is left). I have a 1/4" thick plate welded over the face of both the factory and after market spring hanger cross members. Then I welded the front 1 3/4" 120 DOM bumper tubing to that - maybe kind of hard to make out bottom tubing. All it needs now is a winch...
