just wanted to se some pics of some different bumpers want to get some ideas to build my own

motorfreak21 built this one for me.  welded it to some angle iron and then to the front crossmember.

I think that first one is the only stinger I've ever actually seen that I liked. I am not a big fan of the stinger bumper, but that first one is cool.

My biggest problem with people building bumpers is the lack of thought that goes into the design.  I can count the times Ive seen a bumper that would actually help in climbing an obstacle.  When I built the bumper on the 90 I brought the legs of the stinger all the way down to the front of the springs so I have a ramp of sorts not a big anchor to get caught on.

Isn't the whole purpose of a stinger to help prevent a forward endover while descending obstacles? :dunno:

I'm building this one in about a month.
87 runner, 4" trailmaster lift, 33" TSL/SX, 5.29's V6 e-locker, 22re that cost too much

 :disturbed: The stinger on mine is more functional than looks, stopped two forward flops and stopped countless tree branches and bolders from wanting to do body damage (for what little is left). I have a 1/4" thick plate welded over the face of both the factory and after market spring hanger cross members. Then I welded the front 1 3/4" 120 DOM bumper tubing to that - maybe kind of hard to make out bottom tubing. All it needs now is a winch...

yeah, that's way too much....it's a wast of good tubing.  But it does look kinda cool, just not practical
