The thing that sucks is...unless you get a friendly tech who will fill you in, it's always a few days before the doctor will tell you
Problem with that is that the tech is not trained to read MRI's (or any other x-ray). Some that are experienced can look at them and say they see something that looks odd, but they are not allowed (legally) to suggest a diagnosis.Erik
Liver is pretty common to find "spots". Most are completley benign and don't mean anything. Hope your doc also ran some liver function studies to be sure everything is "working" the way it's supposed to. How did they find the "spot"? was she having some symptoms that made your doc think there was a problem with the liver, or was it an incidental finding? If it was incidental, I wouldn't worry too much until you get the results 'cause it probably doesn't mean anything significant.Erik
Good news! Her liver is asymmetrical and that was causing what only appeared to be a "spot".All is good!
