You dont NEED to cut your core support. I'll post a few pics of mine. It works great and plenty of clearance. As soon as photobucket starts acting right.

Looking good dude, how come you didn't use a flip kit on your spring plates?

LilChief87

im not exactly sure its my buddies welder. and did d oflip kit cuz i can out of money haha but lucky i got 99percent of wat i need to finish it up how long does it take for the transfer case crossmember to come in from front range offroad i ordered it like a week  or so ago and nothin yet

Mavericks

1985 toyota SR5, 22re,  5.29's locked front and rear, duals with twin stick, longfields.

LilChief87

so yeah got the steering box mount welded on and the box bolted on just need a pitman arm nut and need to figure out the hoses for the power steering. also just the transfer case crossmember today.

LilChief87

To do list:
-finish the steering
-bleed the brakes
-put clutch and transfer case crossmember on
-get starter
-put radiator in
-bolt body back down
-finish tunnel and put interior back together
-change all fluids and everything
-weld rear diff
-possibly weld front
-put new front bumper on
-bolt hood back on

then should be ready to fire up and hit the trails harder than ever

LilChief87

what hoses do i need to put where for the ifs steering box ????

hilux-1983

The fittings(hoses) only fit one way. They are both different sizes.

the one closest to the core support goes into the pump and the other one goes into the fluid canister... or to a ps cooler and then to the canister

*ROKTOY*

Looking at the box from the top, top left goes to cooler or reservoir, other goes to pump.

LilChief87

the one that goes to the cooler i dnt have have a fittin that screws into the pump unless its still on my old box

*ROKTOY*

the one that goes to the cooler then comes out of the cooler and goes to the reservoir, not the pump. The other one goes to the pump. The one for the cooler is just a fitting and short piece of tube with a hose and clamps.
