I traded my 79 K5 Blazer for this 4 cyl 89 Toyota 4x4  It was suppose to stay stock for easy loading & unloading. I figured what the heck  :headscratch: I have a trailer I can pull around & put stuff on. So now I have this to build. No body lift & small suspension lift, just enough to clear the X-over steering. The nice thing is that I already have most these parts.

The plans
SAS (of course) with 85 front axle with 4.88 & aussie locker (already have)
Rear with 4.88 & Detroit locker (already have)
Stock t-case (already have)
X-over steering (need to get)
Rock sliders (already have)
63" Chevys in the rear (already have)
RUF (already have)
33's (already have)

Ok, I picked it up Tuesday & installed it last night. Here is my first mod.

I still have to cut the factory side bumper brackets & plastic off.

This bumper didn't come with turn signal mounts. I tried to position the turn signals in different spots like in the grill & under the bottom tube, but the stinger looks like it would be in the way & the turn signals might get smashed under the bottom tube. The only place left was to mount the turn signal in the side marker lights. I marked where the bulb will be & drilled the plastic large enough to to fit the 1156 bulb in & used 2 screws to hold it in place. Now the corner lights are marker/turn signals.

The stock bench seat in this truck is in ok shape but it's not comfortable. So I took out the bench.

I got the from my 85 SR5 4Runner. The driver side seat rails lined up with no problem. The truck does have a hole on the front inside rail but it isn't threaded so I will have to bolt it. The passenger side has the same problem as the driver side plus the rear rail holes don't line up at all. I will have to drill new holes for those & bolt them down.

Isn't it a 4" lift the minimum you can use with a x-over?

I believe it is 3 inch without modding stuff to make everything clear.

Tallchevy

I've been checking on this, 3" is the least amount of lift.

Thanks but fordh8r  (Thanks) brought them to me. I think it was after 3:30 when I realized that I didn't have them.
