My truck has been SAC'ed since 2004.  Started off with a widetrack D44 up front and have recently built a HP44.  Here's a pic with the standard 44:

And a picture of the newly rebuilt HP44:

Thanks!!!  As far as I know, there's less than 10 total.  On record, I'm the 5th to get SAC'ed.  Others can be found here: www.teddnet.com

Here's one of how it all started.  Car locked up their brakes and jumped over the median and into my truck.

Here's one at Hell Hole, same trip as the one above on the rocks:

Definitely does.  Another SAC'ed tundra is actually participating in the 2008 Ultimate Adventure held by Peterson's 4Wheel and Offroad magazine.  The owner's name is Jonathon and has lots of goodies for his V8 tundra:

2005 is when I was able to take the rig out onto the trails.  When I had it done in 2004, the winter season had arrived.  My first run on Barney Riley, I blew my tranny and broke the pins in my rear lock right.  A month later, it was fixed and then I took it onto Hell Hole resorvoir.  On one tight spot heading back out, I snapped both my driver side axle shafts.  Other than that, I haven't broken anything.  Barney Riley is an annual event for me.  Just went up and checked out some trails up around Downieville.  So far, so good.

Just an update: Scored a brand new set of Michelin XL's 11.00R16.  Got all four for a little more than the price of one.  The price tag on the tire shows $403 each.  Here's an eyeball test fit pic and a comparison to my 35" spare.

I got them on eBay.  The seller decided to go a different route with his project.  The only thing was he did not want to ship.  So, I used the Buy It now and arranged the shipping.  He just had to slap the labels and schedule a pick-up with UPS.  Shipping from Socal to Norcal for 4 tires each weighing 100 lbs was about $119.  Also, ebay had sent me a coupon for a 10% of my next winning bid.

I've seen other sites selling them but, not for the price I got them for.

Right now, no.  However, there are occasions where the mother in law will borrow our car for the week.  So, the truck being our only other vehicle, I would DD.   It's not bad though.  My job is about 10 miles from home.  From a couple of people that have run these tires on the street, they are supposedly pretty quite.  Plus the harder compound should make the tires last a long time.  I hope.

Anyone got a set of 16x7 or 16x8 wheels they need to get rid of???

Nice rig.  The insurance paid for my swap.  In 04, I was in an accident with a non-insured motorist that took out my driver side suspension completely.  Since, I had paid the truck off in 03, the insurance company gave me a check and said fix it.  All they asked was for pictures when it's done.  After the swap, I installed a factory bumper, took the pic and provided it to them.  To this day, they had no issues with the modifications.  This is with 21st Century (now AIG).

Otherwise, the tax return would've paid for my swap.
