where did you find the narrow track waggy axle and what did you use for your front hangers

ToYocRawleR

A guy locally was selling it, it was missing an axle, hubs and driver knuckle, but i got a killer deal on it.  Its kind of a rare axle.  All my hangers i fabbed up myself.

I'm going fullwidths as well.  Im doing a 14 in the rear and a 60 in the front.  Going with sky's kit too when I'm ready for the front.  Right now I'm concentrating on the rear.  Did you say your going to run a 12 bolt rear and a 10 bolt front?  I wouldn't plan on much hard wheeling with that 10 bolt.  I'd actually rather run a stock toy axle before a 10 bolt.  Can you try to find a 44 front?  That would be much stronger than a 10 bolt and the 44 is comparable to the toy axle.

The rear 14 bolt with disc conversion.  I just ground off all the factory brackets and spring pads.

My toy rear shafts.  Blew both rear shafts and both 3rd members and one hub on upper Helldorado about a month ago.
Go 1-Ton from the start

ToYocRawleR

I thought i read somewhere that 10 bolts were stronger than the 44s?

Not even close.  10 bolts are junk in my opinion.  Check out my full width build.

They might be junk but the inner axles are stronger than those in a 44 even though they are 28 spline.

goin to be puttin the project on hold for a month or so because im moving and rite now havent scored a place with a garage to work in and im not goin to have a computer for a few weeks probley this fawkin sux

kiyul4130

get a 14bolt for the rear.  you can find them for like 50-100 bucks. its for the most part indestructible. $100 is NOTHING to not worry about every breaking on the trail as far as the rear end goes.... do it and be done with it. as far as the front goes, i guess you can only get what you can get if your broke.

yea those 14 bolts are fawking indestructable.  I set my gears up hella fast one day so i could go wheelin and didnt have the right back lash.  Long story short the gears were waaaay to tight and caused my diff to start smoking.  I pulled over pop off the cover adjusted the ring gear put in some used hydraulic fluid i found next to some logging equipment and away we went.  Never changed the fluid out in it either.  Ran for days...hahahaha.

yep that 12 bolt still uses C-clips, i wouldnt want to be stuck on the trail with one of those. get a 14 bolt, or dana 70.

kiyul4130

ive read of people running them all day long with no oil in them, filling the diff up with beer, and all sorts of other crazy things to keep it lubed, and they are ok. you can never go wrong with a 14 bolt. its a rockwell as far as im concerned.
