i just put in new ring and pinion and i was wondering where i could get a speed reader to tell me how fast im really going.

If you match your tire size and gear ratio close to stock, it will get your speedo fairly close. If you do not want to go that route, then I am not sure if different gears are available for the toyota speedometers (like my old chevy) but if they are, thats another thing to try. My friend uses a hunting style GPS for his speedometer since his quit working. It is fairly accurate. Good luck! :thumbs:

I just had a buddy drive at different speeds (35, 55, 75) and I'd pace him, and note where my speedo was.  :thumbs:

yea thats what i was thinking of doing just driving next to my dad.
As long as here is running stock size tires.

Most GPS units will tell you MPH pretty accurately. Just another idea
