84' Build up advice
« on: Apr 28, 2008, 09:30:11 AM »
Hey fellow Marlinites, I am need of a few opinions.  Me and my buddies are planning a trip to the Con next June and I need to make sure my truck is ready for the challenge.  Right now my truck has RUF hybrid which gave me approx. 3"-4" and chevies in the rear.  I also have the u-bolt flip kits, extended brake lines, 14" 5150's in front and 12" 5125's in the rear and rock sliders.  I have sitting in my garage right now is hy-steer kit, second transfer case that I am needing to rebuild, (1) Aussie locker and (1) set of 5.29 gear's and (2) stock third members.  I am not sure of what to do to my truck beyond what I have already sitting in the garage waiting to be put on.  I am not sure of what to expect when I go and I know none of buddies have been there either so I am just making sure that we are prepared.  Lastly, like everyone my funds are limited monthly so I am having to purchase when I can but I am not willing to cut corners to save a few cents.   :beerchug:

Put the stuff on the bench in the truck, and you'll be good to go.

If not already, tow points on both front and rear of vehicle.

Yup, I intend on either making bumpers or maybe buying, depends how muck I get back in taxes next year.  I made one of those  :toilet2: that hook into your rear receiver so I already have that covered.

I didn't think of that one for the bumpers, thanks.
