Thanks!!

When I was building it I had these goals:
Keep as much body as possible
Fit as big of tires as possible with the least amount of lift (low center of gravity)
KEEP IT TOYOTA!

I really like your goals and the way its been put together. There is the "keep it simple, stupid" way of doing things that has really worked on your setup. Simple but effective. Its really nice too, to see a truck that does more than just the rocks. I like the rocks and all, but I would have loved to have been on that winter wheeling trip with you guys. If you get a chance, stop in on my rig page and let me know what you think.

Killer setup!

I like your style of thinking! KEEP IT TOYOTA! The reason i asked about the breakage is because I want to run bigish tires on toyota running gear. Its a really cool truck man.

The only thing I ever broke was a leaf spring, I am a fairly conservative driver, but sometimes I get a little crazy, Toyota stuff seems to hold up!

Well I remember that day clearly, it was before I had any gears and only a welded 3rd, 35's, a body lift and shackels, I had to be getting it or no go! In that same hole a 3/4 ton dodge on 44"s snapped a dana 60!!! And I wowed the crowed in my nearly stock rig!!

Please tell me those tires rub like hell. looks good but almost not practical, but i guess for snow wheeling you can get away with big rubber, but if you tired a twisty trail they have to hurt you right.

Yep 63 inch diamonds, t100 diffs 5.29 w/arbs, longfields goodies all around, full float rear end, dual cases, r151, 3.4, etc. Dont have all that but thats the plan right now. I need to move my front forward more acutally I rub. Not sure how you dont rub more. My rear axle is in the same spot but I have thought about moving it forward an inch or two.

Thomas P

I rub, but not severely, and I moved my rear axle back an inch to center it in the fender hole

How do you like those 42's in the snow? What width of rim are you running. I cant wait to try mine out. Im going to be putting a custom flatbed on and want to keep the wheelbase about the same or a little shorter than before thats why I want to move my rear forward a tad.

Thomas P

The 42's are awesome in snow exept for the fact that I cant air them down without blowing several beads. When I had my 39.5 Iroks, I could run them at 3lbs all day long, but when I run my 42's at 4 lbs I blow at least 3 beads per trip. Definatley get some beadlocks for these tires.

 I just found out the trailer i was gonna take my truck to the event with is 7" too skinny, anyone in Paradise/Magalia area wanna rent out a trailer? Or else im gonna have to put some skinny ass tires on, which means 4 complete tire changes in one day! Yuck!!!

Just let 3.5" hang over each edge... You have another 10"+ that is contacting the trailer. Or is it the kind that has the metal sides on it? Some of the guys I have wheeled with in the past have Chevys that are too wide. They built wood ramps so they didnt have to drive on the fenders. Then they just let the tire hang off the edge.

2 Cents...
