So im installin power steering on my push n pull setup.  i have to take the pitman arm off of my push n pull box and put it on my power steering box.  only problem is, i broke two pitman arm pullers and 1 3 jaw type puller on it.  its moved probably an 1/8th of an inch.  i got the thing soaked in pb and it is just not budging.  Any advice???????

Jared,

If you've got another puller, then set the puller up and load it as much as you can. Then try passing a torch back and forth on the arm and gradually heat it up. Becareful as the metal expands, it will shoot off, so keep the area clear and work from the side.

Just dont point the torch at that can of gasoline in the corner of your garage or else you will get some more 3rd degree burns!! :flamer:

crank the puller down and let it sit, spray some penetrating oil on it and then BFH the pitman WITH the puller on it - works every time for me

My IFS swap box must have been under water.  After a few days of heat, oil, puller and a big hammer, nothing.  I ended up cutting the arm off.  I didn't need it anyway as I had Marlins new arm that was going on.

Cranked the puller down on mine and made 1 pass with the torch and it shot off.
