Topic: 85 and 86 4runner engine swap

i just did an engine swap from an 86 auomatic 4runner into my 85 5speed 4runner both efi my problem is the damn thing wont rev up and sounds like crap i used the 86 wiring harness do to lack of cash. also i didnt change anything over from the 85 i need help tryin to figure this out if you could lend a helpin hand i would greatly appreciate it thanks

ooh sorry man! my 85 pu was an auto and i loved it until the trans started shifting funny and the shop told me its electronic shifting and servo control blabla expensive LOL. i changed to a v8 and junked the toy auto. anyway the trans worked with the computer it had its own brain and it was linked to the main brain. I'm sure you need to change the harness and computer to match your setup. i cheated and went with a carb and MSD then cut out all the wire.
