I was just wondering if it is reccomended to make your own long travel drive shaft with the kit from marlin or just buying their pre made driveshaft. :dunno:

If it is a daily drive, I would go with a built one.  Unless you are very confident with working with metal. the rears need to be balanced pretty good or you will get vibrations and shakes.

since this is my daily driver i should probally buy a pre made one and it is not really that much more money

if your gonna use it in the fron only then shoot just build a square tube shaft.

Ive got about 13 inches of the outer square tubing that you would use for the driveshaft. if you were here in sacramento ill give it to you for free.

would square tubing still work for my daily driver at freeway speeds or would it vibrate like freakin crazy.

Yep Ive got a square shaft for the rear but it is for crawling only!  I just leave the front in there cause I have no use for 4x going over 25 anyway.

Hey WT,  post some good pics of your square tube driveline.

My firend has a square front shaft and it doesn't vibrate on the road at all when it is in 2wd.  But when he has the hubs locked and in 4wd it vibrates like crazy.  But they are easy and cheap to make.
