23 spline turbo t-case as crawl box

I've got the chance to pick up a turbo 23 spline t-case. I'd like to use it for a reduction box for dual cases. I can get it cheaper than buying a 23 spline input shaft, so is there any reason I shouldn't buy it? I'm assuming it's a forward shift but that I can convert it to a top shift... lookin for some advice...

is it gonna be a  rear 23 spline tcase as well :dunno:

yes, i have the v6 with the r150f, and the second case would be 23 spline. Does marlin still sell top shift conversion kits? how likely is this 23 spline to break vs. marlin's total spline input gears?

I have yet to break anything in my cases and have been running them for twelve years, 23-spline cases behind a V-6, stock inputs and outputs.
