Complete Marlin suspension builds... links anyone?
« on: Feb 29, 2008, 07:00:04 AM »
Hey guys, I'm a newb that's looking for some links to help my fabricator through my build. He's fully capable of the job, but he's a Jeep guy and I want it to go as smoooooth as possible. I'm doing everything but the welding part, which I had to swallow my pride for by the way.

Does anybody have any step by step build links for a 4" or 5" inch Marlin Lift? I found a few using the search feature, but I'm just wondering if you guys have any informative builds that you wouldn't mind sharing.

Here's what I found so far... awesome stuff!

i think your best bet would be to search through yahoo. i found bulletin boards a long while ago but since i was new to it i just used yahoo as my search engine. "toyota solid axle swap" was my friend on yahoo search. taught me everything i needed to know and showed more SAS toys then youd ever need see. what kind of rig is it. any pictures?

edit: i did a 4" marlin sas 3+ years ago now on my own truck

It's an 85 Runner, but I'm specifically looking for people that used Marlin's kit.

man your already set. just need some shock hoops, longer shocks and some new springs/shackles. its a bolt on job for the most part. you could cut off the old spring hangers and weld on the marlin one for more strength. the high steer will bolt right up. you will then need to get a power steering box off a later IFS truck. the kit should come with a pitman arm that will accept your new tie rod for you.
