http://www.preignitioncc.com/nw/index.htm More snake oil here than at most Snake Conventions!  Get yours now before they run out!  We all know how much trouble & expense the manufacturers go to trying to increase their CAFE numbers... won't they feel silly when they learn how easy it is!    :woohoo:

Apologies if it's a repost...    :crossed:

I don't really understand how it works, can you put it in a nut shell for me???

Stocker

Eh, it's in a nut shell already...  that is, you'd have to be some kind of nut to make those claims...  and more of a nut to believe them!!   :willynilly:

There is a lot of stuff on that page.  But anything that claims to add 100 miles per gallon to any car has to be B.S.

I would agree that it is mostly "snake oil" as you say, but there is a group of people that are freekish about mpg and have logged well over 60 mpg in normal cars.  They use driving techniques that are not safe for the sake of saving gas like shutting the engine off to coast down hills and drafting behind other cars and trucks when they get the chance.

drafting is perfectly safe as long as the guy in front knows what you are doing.  I  used to draft with my buddy in his 4runner all the time on the highway.

i kinda want to order one.  if your exhaust is still ignitable, in theory, it could work.  If they aren't that much.  plus can you imagine how much gas you would save if it did work.  even if it increased it as much as 3x.  if you look at the results, it increased a Toyota 4cyl 150%.  My question is, do you need fuel injection?

your exhaust is still ignitable if you don't have a cat.  that is how the flamethrower kits work...yank the cat an put a spark plug in the exhaust.

I call :bull crap:

near the top of the page, they used a simulation of a 318 v8 powered van going up a 30% grade at 65 mph, for one hour, and claimed it got 22mpg.  HA!!!  I don't think a 318 is capable of those #s, especiially in a van.  :gap:

Every auto manufacturer spends millions of $$$$ every year trying to develope ways to increase mpg to keep up with the government requirements.  If there was a way to increase the economy of an internal combustion engine that drastically don't you think they would have already done it.... or for that matter this company that makes this product could make billions, that billions with a b if it actually worked and they were to market their technology to the mfrs. instead of a few mis-informed consumers.

This kinda goes along with the whole tornado air intake deal that can boost ones performance up to 25% HP gain and 6 to 10 mpg at the pump deal. It never worked and never really caught on with any of the car companies either.

But hey you gotta throw new ideas out there to make money right? It's the american way!

The real question is how anything in the exhaust alone can improve efficiency that much.  Kind of like making taking the garbage out easier improving your diet.

OK so really you could just run your fuel line in and out of you exhaust or just run is along side for you exhaust and get the same result, right?? i just might try that. What really comes to mind first with this is vapor lock.

It looks like they are using a hydrogen booster in this kit.  This is the part that they call the "HAFC Hydrogen
Fuel Cell".  What this does is uses electrolosys (sp) of water to turn the hydrogen and oxygen into gasses, which when fed into an engine act as a catylist with the fuel, enabling a much leaner mixture to be run without loss of power or detonation.  These boosters can be built for cheep with parts bought from the hardware store.  Check out www.waterpoweredcar.com for more info.  Alot of this stuff seems to be completely bogus, but some might have some truth behind it, well at least in theory.  I have also noticed that alot of these sites seem to be linked to conspiracy theorist websites.  So if not true reading about alot of this stuff can at least be entertaining.

You're kidding, right?  Have you ever tried to get a refund from a money back guarantee?  Good luck with that.  What kind of hoops do you have to jump through to prove to them, on their terms, that it didn't work as advertised?  I bet they have one phone line for placing orders and one for issuing refunds.  I think we can all guess which one they answer and which one they don't.

I have a time machine also.  Anyone can use it and there are no moving parts or complicated wires to connect.  Fits in the average home.  You can buy similar models elsewhere but this is the one I use:

Unfortunately I can only get it to move forward through time for about eight hours, then it fails and I have to wait between 14-20 hours and try it again.

I kinda want to try to,  I tried one of those hydrogen generators for a while and although it didnt reach the level of savings claimed it did give me about 4 mpg better from 12 to 16 city and 17 to 22 hwy, but at 1500 buck would have taken forever to make up cost so I sent it back plus it had no safety to keep the contents of the generator out of the engine.   So if it wasnt too much I would be willing to give it a shot.

I believe there is an injector used in the exhaust putting fresh fuel in with the plug also.  Or maybe thats just for the ones that shoot big flames...
