spring lengths

how long are the stock front and rear sring lengths on 84 toyotas
84 toy 5" suspension, 2" shackle, new 35" Boggers, Detroit rear, tru-trac front, 5.29 gears, custom made bumpers f/r, custom sliders, racing seats with 4 point harness, marlin 4.70:1 t-case,stock 4 banger with sincro Webber carb

is that for the front or back? I dident think they were the same

48 inch back .. 45 inch front.. also there's some good info about springs over on the engine/drive train side in a thread about swapping rear springs up front.

My rears are 47" eye to eye along the leaf. Not sure where people are getting 48" from.

yeah when measured my springs it looks closer to 47, i think you have to smash em out to get 48. also the set of 51 rears I've got off a 90's 4x4 are more like 49 as they sit.

just for fun check out the leaf spring chart on the genral 4wd discussion. the capacity/size/weight/length/ thread. it's on the bottom of page 1. 80-88 toy rear.  :thumbs:
