I'm trying to see if the newer (89-95) pickup springs are the same as the older (86-88). As far as length etc.

I've ordered Old Man Emu springs for my truck but the ride is horrible and the lift is to high. I noticed that the newer trucks have a different part number listed and the lift is lower, i'm not quite sure if it will fit on the older trucks.
My assumption was that all the pickups were the same.

Rear springs are longer on the 89-95.

I hear the newer longer ome rears will give a better shackle angle and ride better, when used on the rear of 79-88 trucks. Makes sense because all the 79-88 pickups Ive seen with ome have had bad shackle angles (to steep).  Also did you get soft, medium, or HD? If med or hd maybe try pulling a leaf?

According to ARB's guide the CS009R(what i have) is only for the 4runners...it lists the CS019R (The ones for the newer trucks) for any pre 97.

Looks like i'll take a crack at pulling a leaf spring...worst comes to worst i'm going to order up a new set of leaf springs.

OME usually recommends pulling the 2nd leaf from the bottom if need be. That leaf pack has a note about removing the 3rd leaf though.
