I have deluxe stock 85 buckets. I hate them and want to get some new seats. Not sure if i should get some from the junk yard or order some new seats. I don't want to spend a lot but want something with support, not much modification, cloth, (I have vinyl they suck) and grey or black. What kind of seats do you guys have in your yota?

I installed seats out of an 86ish nissan 300zx.  They're pretty comfy, have adjustable side bolstering so they can hug you tighter and have a little airbag in the front too.  My colors don't match, but the driver seat is light gray.  Took very minimal mods to make it fit, I think I just made a little riser for one side on the rear and a little flat bracket on the front.

I had some celica seats I got for 20 each at the junkyard...perfect condition..but i didnt think they were very comfortable though so I went back to a stock bench.......Its getting harder and harder to find good stock seats...and if you do, often they dont have more than a couple years life left in them...

If you can find stock seats locally then great... it would probably cost the same to buy new aftermarkets for what you would pay for the seats and the shipping....

look at toyotas first and maybe some hondas...some or all of the bolt holes might line up...also the dimensions of the holes and a tape measure might be handy to carry when you are looking around the yard...

make sure you get the sliders too..so if need be you can make some brackets and weld em on

Chevy Astro van seats. Always get compliments on how comfy they are and they have a wicked sweet arm rest.

COToy91

Hunsaker has really nice seats and they are suspension w/ memory foam. There are four different styles to choose from also and shipping is flat rate. Oh and they offer more colors  than are shown on the web so give them a call.

They were really nice and cut me a deal, even threw in a free tool bag.

I love my icons too, i mean these things are so comfortable. I got vinyl so i dont have to worry about rain when my doors are off, but you could just scotch guard the heck out of the cloth one too. I did not buy the brackets, i used the standard bolt mount in the front and a three inch bolt with a solid spacer i made in the rear to level it out

90-95 4 runner seats bolt right in.and they are pretty comfy, and they got lumbar controls and stuff.

halfxspaid

I just put some 96 tacoma seats in my 85.  They were no where near direct bolt on.
Before you toss the old seats, cut off the mounting brackets incase you need to modify them to fit on the rails of the new seats.
